Richard Prober is a Senior Environmental Engineer and contractual agent with Compliance Technologies, Inc. (CTI), a professional environmental services company serving the Midwest. He received his B. S. in Chemical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1957, M. S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin in 1958, and Ph.D. in 1962 in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Prober is a Professional Engineer in Ohio (E – 042052).
Dr. Prober provides a broad range of technical consulting services related to environmental, health, and safety programs within the areas of water and wastewater and industrial wastes. He specializes in design and permitting of treatment facilities, site assessment and remediation, and hazardous waste management. Dr. Prober has served dozens of clients in matters related to NPDES permits for industrial wastewater and storm runoff, as well as permits for industrial wastewater discharge to publicly owned treatment works.
Dr. Prober brings 35 years of environmental consulting experience to Compliance Technologies’ clients. Prior to joining the company, he served as Senior Environmental Engineer/Project Manager for Metcalf & Eddy, Inc., Engineering–Science (now Parsons Engineering Science), and Havens & Emerson (now Montgomery Watson Harza). In addition to the current specialty areas above, his experience includes personnel health and safety, risk assessment, environmental impact assessment, municipal water supply, and municipal wastewater treatment facilities.
Earlier in his environmental career, as a member of the faculty of Case Western Reserve University, Dr. Prober participated in founding the environmental engineering course curriculum.
